Goldwind’s GW155-4.5MW wind turbine is the first 4.5MW wind turbine in China.

GRL provides fuses, and fuse switches in GW155 wind turbines.
Wind Power System Overview
The wind power generation system consists of wind turbines, overhead lines, transformers, box transformers, and grid boxes.
The specific classification is shown in the figure below
The on-site control station of the wind power control system includes: tower main control cabinet, nacelle control station cabinet, pitch system, converter system, on-site touch screen station, Ethernet switch, field bus communication network, UPS power supply, emergency shutdown backup system,etc.
Nacelle Control Cabinet
The tower nacelle cabinet is located in the cabin and mainly provides power supply for wind blades, yaw motors, etc. The nacelle control cabinet is a UPS power cabinet. The incoming circuit adopts the busbar system solution, and the main switch is a 160A fuse switch disconnector.
Tower Base Control Cabinet
The tower base cabinet is located in the wind tower. This cabinet contains a 690V fuse switch disconnector,400V, and 230V air switch, 400V and 230V motor protector, 690V surge arrester, and other low-voltage components. Some electrical components such as fuse switch disconnectors control the different electrical systems in the wind turbines.
There are many control switch buttons on the door of the tower base cabinet to facilitate the operation of the wind turbines.
Fuse Switch Disconnector
GRL 160A fuse switch disconnector is applied to the wind turbines of Goldwind. GRL’s fuse switch disconnector passes the vibration test in order to meet the requirements. When the overload current is 10kA, the GRL low power consumption fuse can quickly be blown.

Customer Application
Since the first GW155-4.5MW wind turbine was put into operation in June 2019, the availability rate has remained above 99.7%. The fuse-type isolating switch inside the wind turbines, hasn’t been blown yet.
