High Voltage Fuse

GRL high voltage fuse range includes drop out fuses, current limiting fuses, fuse wires, and Capacitor Protection Fuses, crafted for specific applications are engineered to meet the stringent requirements of modern power distribution and transmission, offering fast fault clearance and enhanced reliability.

A Drop-Out Fuse Cutout is an outdoor high-voltage protective device primarily used on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or branch lines. It provides overload and short-circuit protection and enables safe load current switching for transformers and lines. The fuse cutout consists of an insulating base, a fixed contact, a moving contact, and a fuse tube. When a fault occurs, the fuse blows and drops out of the circuit, ensuring that the transformer or line remains protected.

Current limiting fuses provide precise overcurrent protection, offering fast response times and minimizing energy let-through during faults. GRL high voltage current-limiting fuses are designed for indoor power systems with AC 50Hz, rated voltages between 12kV and 24kV, and rated currents up to 200A. These fuses provide precise protection for power transformers and other high-voltage equipment.

1. 1. What is a Drop-Out Fuse, and where is it used?

A Drop-Out Fuse is an outdoor high-voltage protective device primarily used on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or branch lines. It provides overload and short-circuit protection, and allows for safe load current switching for transformers and lines. The fuse is designed to drop out of the circuit when a fault occurs, ensuring the protection of the transformer or line from further damage.

2. What is the role of Capacitor Protection Fuses?

Capacitor Protection Fuses are designed to safeguard capacitors used in power factor correction systems. They provide excellent arc suppression and reliable operation under heavy electrical loads, ensuring that capacitor banks remain protected from faults and contribute to the overall stability and power quality of the system.

3. Are your high voltage fuses compliant with international safety standards?

Yes, all our high voltage fuses meet international safety and performance standards, including IEC and IEEE, ensuring reliable protection and long-term durability in high-voltage power systems.
