Something you should know before using a knife switch disconnect

(6) When replacing the fuse, it must be carried out under the condition of disconnecting, and replace the fuse with the same specification as the original one.
(7) When using the knife switch disconnect to control electric power, it is necessary to open the knife switch in case of power failure. Otherwise, in case of power resume, the power transmission will start, which not only causes waste of electric power but also may cause other unexpected harm.
Possible causes of damage and repair methods
- Contacts burned. The possible reason is that the action of pulling knife switch disconnectis too slow; The switch capacity is too small.
The corresponding treatment method: repair or replace the contact and improve the operation method; Replace the switch with a higher rated current.
- Fuse is blown when closing. The reason may be a short circuit behind the knife switch disconnect; The fuse size is too small.
Corresponding processing method: eliminate short circuit fault; Replace the fuse that meets requirements.
- One or two phases are disconnected after switching on. A possible reason is that the incoming or outgoing line of the switch is not in good contact; Fuse blown or misconnected; Contact oxidation or dust; fixed contact elasticity disappears, resulting in poor contact.
Corresponding processing method: check the switch incoming or outgoing wire head, find the problem and reconnect; Replace the fuse or tighten the screw pressing the fuse; Cleaning contact; Pinch the fixed contact tightly and replace it if it cannot be pinched.
