What Are Fuse Holders?

RT18 is one of the classical fuse holders. GRL RT series fuse holders with a completely new structure design.

RT18 has two indicator lights and a special outlook. The raw materials are PA66-V0 flame-retardant plastic and copper contacts.

There are 3 models:

  • 32A frame for 10mmx38mm cylinder fuse link
  • 63A frame for cylinder 14mm*51mm cylinder fuse link
  • 125A frame for 22mm*58mm cylinder fuse link

GRL provides AC types and DC 1000V types for different applications. AC types are normally used as a protective switch in the power distribution system and industrial power control systems.

DC1000V fuse hold is widely used in Photovoltaic Solutions. The din rail design makes installation easy and convenient. And it can be combined freely with connecting accessories from 1P to 2P, 3P  and 4P(3P+N).

As a qualified new product, we have got a TUV certificate and test report for the GRL RT fuse and holder.

RT18 Fuse Holders Characteristics

  • Insulating material of high strength and high-temperature resistance.
  • The conductive material is T2 copper.
  • External locking device is available, which can be locked when the fuse holders are closed and help avoid misoperation.
  • The fuse holders can be combined from 1 pole to 2 poles, 3pole and 3pole +N pole.
  • Indicator is available. If the light is on, the fuse is blown.
  • There are 2 lamps. 1 lamp is the backup of the other. It avoids lamp failure during long-term work. And fast maintenance can be ensured.

What is the difference between a fuse box and a fuse panel?

The terms “fuse box” and “fuse panel” are often used interchangeably and can refer to the same component in an electrical system. However, in some contexts, there can be a slight difference in their usage:

1.Fuse Box: A fuse box typically refers to a compact enclosure or housing that contains a group of fuses, usually arranged in a single row or column.

The fuse box is often located in a visible and easily accessible area, such as a residential basement, utility room, or garage.RT18 Fuse Holders

It typically has a hinged cover or door that can be opened to access the fuses for inspection or replacement. In residential settings, a fuse box is commonly used to distribute electrical power to various circuits within the house.RT18 Fuse Holders

2.Fuse Panel: A fuse panel is a broader term that can refer to a larger assembly or arrangement of fuses, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical control devices. It may include additional components such as main disconnect switches, grounding bars, or bus bars.

A fuse panel is usually used in commercial or industrial settings where larger electrical loads and multiple circuits are involved. It provides centralized control and protection for the electrical system.

While the terms may have some subtle differences in their usage, they generally refer to similar electrical components that serve the purpose of protecting electrical circuits from overcurrent conditions.RT18 Fuse Holders

Both fuse boxes and fuse panels contain fuses or circuit breakers that are designed to interrupt the flow of current when necessary to protect the electrical system and connected equipment.

It’s important to note that the terminology may vary depending on the region or specific industry practices. It’s always best to consult with a qualified electrician or refer to local electrical codes and standards to ensure accurate understanding and usage of the terms.
